Michaelmas Cay is a picturesque reef sand island surrounded by magical coral gardens teeming with an incredible diversity of marine life. The Cay is a protected seabird sanctuary playing host to over 20,000 migratory seabirds ... one of the most important nesting sights in the Southern Hemisphere.
First time swimmers and non-swimmers can learn how to snorkel from the shallows of the cay. We also offer guided snorkelling tours and tuition for those new to snorkelling.
Michaelmas Cay is covered by grasses and other low growing plants which provide an ideal habitat for thousands of ground nesting seabirds. Take part in our informative guided nature tour to learn more about the seabirds and this important breeding site.
